Monday, November 11th CBS announced that a new singing competition series called The Road has been ordered for fall 2025, with Blake Shelton and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan among the executive producers. Not just another singing competition, The Road will follow “a headlining superstar on their journey to discover the next big artist,” while also providing “a backstage pass into the gritty and unforgiving life of a touring artist.” Musicians will then join the headliner on tour as opening acts at venues throughout the country, competing to win over local audiences in order to land a spot in the next city and remain on tour. How exciting!
