Wednesday, September 27th: MRRL Bookmobile at the Mall
Catch the Missouri River Regional Library Bookmobile at their next stop at the Capital Mall in the lot between JC Penney and Hy-Vee on Wednesday, September 27th from 12 PM to 1:30 PM. They offer a full range of children’s & adult titles, including fiction & non-fiction, paperbacks, CDs, & DVDs. Friday, September 29th: 7th Annual Rhineland Truck and Tractor Pull
Join the Pullin’ for the Park Team for the 7th Annual Rhineland Truck and Tractor Pull on Friday, September 29th at 4:00 pm in Rhineland Park. This annual Truck and Tractor Pull raises money for new park equipment at Rhineland Park. Gates open at 4 P.M. with the pull starting at 7 P.M. There will be a full concession stand. Thursday, October 12th: Capital City CASA Raise Your Glass
Capital City CASA invites you to Raise Your Glass on Thursday, October 12th at Capital Bluffs Event Center. Doors open at 5:00 pm with 19th Hole, wine pull, and silent auction following. Enjoy hors d’ouerves and a cash bar at 6:00 p.m. The Capital City CASA Program begins at 7:30 pm with comedian Tim Gaither taking the stage at 8:00 pm. Sunday, October 15th – St. Anthony Parish Fall Festival
Join in the fun at the St. Anthony Parish Fall Festival in St. Anthony on Sunday, October 15th. Serving buffet style from 11:30 am-4 pm. Fresh whole hog sausage and roast beef dinners with mashed potatoes & gravy, kraut & potatoes, cole slaw, applesauce, and pie. Tickets are $15 for adults, children 6-12 are $7 and kids 5 and under are free. Carryouts are $15. Enjoy their country store, raffle, and children’s games.
Wednesday, October 18th – Mid-MO Veterans Express
Mid-MO Veterans Express has come together to offer Vietnam Veterans an opportunity for an all-expense paid one-day bus trip to Perryville, MO on Wednesday, October 18th to visit the Missouri National Veterans Memorial. Wednesday, October 18th – 21st Annual Keep The Home Fires Burning Chili Supper
Make plans to dine in or carry out for the 21st Annual Keep The Home Fires Burning Chili Supper on Wednesday, October 14 from 4-7 p.m. at Eagles on Missouri Blvd. Tickets are $10.00 and you can pick those up from your local realtor or at the door. The night is sponsored by the Jefferson City Area Board of REALTORS® All proceeds benefit The Samaritan Center’s Utility Assistance Program. Enjoy music by Roadhouse Band from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. To further assist the Samaritan Center with their need for food, they will be collecting non-perishable food donations like cereal, canned fruit & vegetables, mac & cheese, peanut butter, etc., at the event.
Thursday, October 19th – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson City Chili Cook-Off and Cornhole Tournament
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson City Chili Cook Off and Cornhole Tournament is Thursday, October 19, at the Jefferson City Jaycees Fairgrounds. The Chili Cook-Off is scheduled for 5-7:30 p.m. and the Cornhole Tournament begins at 5:30 p.m. Registration fee for the Cornhole Tournament is $100/per team; Chili Cookoff is $50/per team; and General Admission is $15/per person before October 12th and $20/per person at the event. Wednesday, October 25th – RACS Masquerade Gala
Join RACS on Wednesday, October 25 at Capital Bluffs Event Center at 6 p.m. as they unmask domestic violence in Central Missouri at their annual RACS Masquerade Gala. Saturday, October 28th – Jefferson City Jaycees Trunk or Treat 2023
Looking for a safe place for the kids to trick or treat? The Jefferson City Jaycees will be hosting the 15th annual trunk or treat from 2:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 28th at the Jefferson City Jaycees Fairgrounds. Friday, November 3rd – CMFCAA Puttin’ On The Ritz 2023 Gala
Enjoy a great evening out for a wonderful cause. Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association’s annual gala, Puttin’ On The Ritz will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on November 3rd at Capitol Plaza Hotel. Saturday, November 11th – Thanksgiving Before Thanksgiving 50/50 Raffle
Sign up for the Thanksgiving Before Thanksgiving 50/50 Raffle, put on by Keeping Hope Alive. Half of the proceeds go to the winner and the other half will go to Keeping Hope Alive, a non-profit organization that helps vulnerable, neglected, and abused children and parents in the foster care community. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson City
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson City requires mentors, especially male role models. They have two different types of mentoring programs. The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri relies heavily on donations and volunteers to operate efficiently.
