Kylie, a 2-3-year-old Australian Shepherd spayed female dog, is this week’s Furry Friend on KAT Country. Kylie was brought to the shelter as a stray, so little is known about her. She has been a very sweet and friendly girl while at the shelter. She would make a great new companion to any active family.
Owning an Australian Shepherd is a rewarding but demanding commitment. Aussies are highly intelligent, energetic herding dogs that require at least 1-2 hours of rigorous daily exercise and mental stimulation. Without a “job” or proper outlets, they can become anxious or destructive. They shed a lot and need a dedicated, active owner.
