Red, an 8-year-old neutered male American Pit Bull Terrier, is this week’s Furry Friend on KAT Country. Red was brought to the shelter by a local police officer after his homeless owner was no longer able to keep him. Red is a super chill and laid-back guy at the shelter.
If he could talk, he’d have stories to tell, as he originally was adopted from a shelter in Los Angeles, California, per his microchip. He spent a night in a foster home where it was discovered that he doesn’t do well with small animals or cats. Though he didn’t have any real issues with the other dogs in the home other than low grumbles when they were in his face, he may do best with a female dog and very low-energy dogs.
The ideal home for Red would be where he can just lounge around all day and not be bothered by the world around him. He is a SUPER great dog who deserves to find a soft, cozy bed to spend his remaining days lying in the sun.
