The red headed stranger isn’t done yet.
During a recent interview to promote his 76th solo studio album, Last Leaf on the Tree, Willie Nelson reflected on his mortality and shared plans for the future. The 91-year-old legend says his new record doesn’t represent the “last” of anything, and that he isn’t concerned about death but knows that the end is inevitable.
“I’m not worried about it. I don’t feel bad. I don’t hurt anywhere. I don’t have any reason to worry about dying. But I don’t know anybody who’s lived forever. I take pretty good care of myself. And I feel like I’m in pretty good shape physically. Mentally? That’s another story.” – Willie Nelson
Willie wants to remembered by what mattered to him.
“I had a good time. And I did what I came here to do: make music.” – Willie Nelson
Willie also revealed he has a new album already finished, and has plans for more.
“I hope there’s a few more.” – Willie Nelson
We hope so, Willie!
